REBUILDING UPDATE FROM PASTOR DEVLON:

All of the reports from various subcontractors on the damage to the sanctuary are in process and the adjuster is waiting for the to be completed so he can make his assessment.

The Study Group on rebuilding has met twice and already reached consensus on all of the major concerns that we have thus far discerned.  THANK YOU TO ALL WHO HAVE BEEN A PART OF THIS PROJECT.  It has been a real joy undertaking this very big responsibility together.  I feel that God has really worked through you in this process.  We will make our report to the Ad Board on February 14th and to the Charge Conference on February 18th.

NOMAD UPDATE:  The first session of Nomads have already come and gone and left behind most of the work list completed along with some very-much-needed improvements to homes in our community.  WHAT A BLESSING OUR NOMADS ARE!  WELCOME TEAM 2 AND GOD BLESS YOU IN OUR TIME TOGETHER.

A Heart for Missions

We have designed our education, kitchen and fellowship buildings to double as a staging area for visiting medical and construction teams serving in Mexico.

The “Team House” is a converted farmhouse, which offers additional lodging about 3 miles further south.  Church volunteers greet and assist approximately 35 mission teams a year, providing translation and prep work as needed.

Several of our church members, as well as Winter Texans and other friends, work in the colonias of Nuevo Progreso.

For information regarding rooms for staying teams, we invite you to browse our Mission Info Packet and our Team House Info.

In Nuevo Progreso and Rio Bravo, things during the day are quiet and safe. We are happy to say things are not as dangerous as they are in the rest of Mexico. See Shop Progresso website.

Thankfully, many people in these cities are still being helped by caring, loving people who come down from “up north”.

Houses are being built, medical teams are seeing countless sick people, and churches and schools are being repaired and renovated.
